About CoinTable
CoinTable is a Google Sheets add-on that puts crypto prices and market data in a cell with one formula, such as =CT_PRICE("BTC"). It covers 10,000+ coins in 50+ currencies, with no API key to paste.
The add-on, this site and the guides on the blog are made by the CoinTable team, a small independent team. Posts are signed "CoinTable Team" because they are written and checked together, not by one person.
How the guides are checked
- Every formula in a guide is typed into a real Google Sheet before it is published. Example prices are labelled with the month they were taken.
- Claims about GOOGLEFINANCE come from our own dated tests, for example the October 2026 ticker test, and from Google’s help pages, which we link.
- Facts about other add-ons and APIs carry an "as of" date and a link to that product’s own documentation or pricing page. When another tool is the better choice, the guide says so.
- Guides are updated when the product or a competitor changes. The "Last updated" date on a post changes only when its content does.
What we disclose
We make CoinTable, so every comparison on this site is written by one of the products being compared. We say so in the comparisons, and we link the other products’ own pages so you can check the facts yourself.
