1. What We Collect

CoinTable does not read your name or your Google account email. When you use the add-on, we collect only:

  • An anonymous account key — the first time you use CoinTable, our server creates a random key (UUID) for you. It is not linked to your name or email.
  • Formula requests — for each CoinTable formula, the add-on sends the coin ticker, the currency, the field and the period or date (for example BTC, USD, changepct, 24h) together with your key. It also sends the spreadsheet's ID, which our server keeps only as a one-way hash, to know in which files longer periods stay free. We use them to return market data and to count updates against your plan.
  • Account records — your plan, your remaining updates for the month, your subscription end date, your Lemon Squeezy subscription number if you have Plus, and when your account was created.
  • Refund records — if you get a refund, the Lemon Squeezy customer and invoice numbers, the amount, and one-way hashes of the email and card details used for the purchase, so the once-per-customer rule can be applied. We never store the email address or card number itself.
  • Server logs — the type of request, its status, its duration, the number of values and your account ID. Logs do not contain your key, tickers, spreadsheet contents or emails.

Inside Google Sheets, the add-on reads the spreadsheet you use it in to find CoinTable formulas, the cells they point to and cells that show errors. It writes only CoinTable formulas and the rows and sheets you add with it. Only each formula's ticker, currency, field and period or date leave Google Sheets, with an anonymous key. Your amounts and the rest of the spreadsheet stay where they are. We never receive your holdings or any other spreadsheet contents. If a formula fails, the add-on's error log in Google Cloud can include the ticker you typed.

Accounts created before October 2, 2026 were registered with a one-way hash of the Google account email. The email itself is not stored.

2. Payments

CoinTable Plus is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy asks for your email and payment details only if you buy Plus, and processes them under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details. Lemon Squeezy sends us the status and renewal date of your subscription. If it also sends the email you entered at checkout, we use it only to find the matching account through a one-way hash and never store the email itself. Refund records are described in section 1.

3. How We Use This Data

We use the collected data to:

  • Return market data for your formulas
  • Count updates, enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
  • Give Plus subscribers access to Plus

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Google User Data

CoinTable requests these Google OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly — to read CoinTable formulas and write their results, only in the spreadsheet where you use the add-on.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request — to request market data from the CoinTable API at cointable.pro.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui — to show CoinTable's windows inside Google Sheets, such as the upgrade dialog.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.scriptapp — requested only by versions of the add-on with scheduled refresh: to run the background refresh that a Plus subscriber can turn on for a spreadsheet (every hour). CoinTable uses it only to create and remove its own refresh trigger for that spreadsheet.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.locale — to receive your Google Sheets language and region setting, which Google passes to add-ons.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile — Google Workspace Marketplace adds these basic sign-in scopes to every add-on. CoinTable does not read, store or send your email address or profile.

CoinTable does not request access to your contacts, Google Drive or any other Google data. Data from the spreadsheet stays in Google Sheets, except for the ticker, currency, field and period or date of each formula.

CoinTable's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Sharing

We share limited information only in the following cases:

  • Service providers that help us run CoinTable: hosting, server monitoring and logs, encrypted backup storage, and Lemon Squeezy for payments
  • Market data providers: our server sends them tickers, currencies and dates, never your key or any information about you
  • Law enforcement, when required by law

6. Data Security

  • All requests between the add-on and our server use HTTPS
  • Database backups are encrypted
  • Servers receive regular security updates and are monitored
  • Access to account data is limited to the CoinTable team

7. Cookies and Analytics

The add-on does not use cookies or tracking. Its windows load fonts from Google Fonts. Our website, cointable.pro, uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. It does not receive data from the add-on.

8. Deleting Your Data

To delete your account and its data, email us at hi@cointable.pro. If you uninstall the add-on, it stops sending requests.

9. Children's Privacy

This service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be available at this page.
